Your images stay private. The imgnovo compressor runs entirely in your browser. When you drag a photo onto the page, that file is read, compressed and rendered on your own device. It is never uploaded to our servers, stored by us, or shared with anyone. What leaves your computer is only the finished file you choose to download.
Why compression never touches a server
The compression pipeline lives in the page's JavaScript and runs through your browser's canvas tools. There is no upload step, no queue on a remote machine, and no retention copy of a folder of personal photos. This is a deliberate design choice, not a limitation. It means there is no file-size cap, no privacy question about sensitive images, and nothing for a third party to intercept.
Information We Collect
Because the tool computes locally, the images you compress never reach us. What we do collect is deliberately minimal:
- A cookie for consent. We store a small choice in your browser so the cookie notice does not reappear on every visit. This holds a simple “accepted” marker, not any personal detail.
- Aggregated analytics. We may use privacy-friendly counters and logs to understand roughly how many people visit, which pages are popular, and what breaks. These are aggregate numbers, not a profile of you.
Advertising
Some pages may display advertising served by third-party networks. Those networks have their own privacy policies and may use cookies to serve relevant ads. We do not control these networks, and your use of them is subject to their policies rather than ours. The compressor itself still processes every image locally regardless of which ads appear.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file your browser stores. We use cookies only to remember your consent choice and to support aggregated analytics. Advertising networks may set their own cookies when you visit pages that show their ads. You can clear cookies anytime through your browser settings.
