ImgNovo ("we", "us") runs imgnovo.com. Set out below is what we do with information and what you can choose. In one line: the images you drag in is handled inside the browser and never leaves your device.

What this policy applies to

The tool this page covers is ImgNovo, a browser-based image compressor. Put simply, it compresses JPG, PNG and WebP images, converts between those formats and downloads the results as a zip, all without uploading them, and the way it does so is this: it decodes each image in the browser, re-encodes it at the quality level you choose and reports the size before and after, so the compression runs on your own machine and the file never leaves it. Everything stated here applies to that tool and the values it handles, and to nothing else.

In day-to-day use the tool works only from the images you drag in, and it is usually opened for things like shrinking photos before attaching them to an email. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.

Data you give the tool

This site has no backend that receives what you type. The page reads your input to compute an answer, shows it to you, and forgets it — because nothing was ever sent anywhere in the first place. The arithmetic is identical regardless of who is looking at the screen.

Technical data gathered automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers may process the basic technical information needed to deliver a page: IP address, browser and device type, referring page and pages viewed. This is used for security, troubleshooting and understanding which tools are used, and is never joined to anything you type into the tool.

How cookies and adverts work here

We use one first-party cookie for the consent choice and nothing more. Any other cookies come from advertising partners outside our control; they can be blocked or deleted in your browser, and doing so costs the tool nothing, because the calculation is independent of them.

What our statistics cover

We watch which of the ImgNovo tools get used, in aggregate, so that effort goes where it is useful. That is the extent of it — no individual profile, and no analytics event ever includes the values you entered.

Where your input goes (nowhere)

The values you enter are read by the page itself and nowhere else. No copy is kept after you navigate away, since none was ever made.

Security and data retention

Because your inputs are never transmitted, there is no store of personal measurements to retain or protect. Standard security practice applies to the site itself, including HTTPS on every page.

Children

The site is not designed for, or marketed to, children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Rights you can exercise

Wherever you are, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, and object to how it is used. Given how little ImgNovo collects, the answer will usually be short, but the right stands.

Changes to this policy

ImgNovo revises this page whenever the way it handles data changes; the "last updated" line at the top always shows the current version.
